A piece used at Rainbow for All Saints Day, 2015

This tower contains so many names; so many memories.  This tower recalls hopes and deeds both realized and left undone.  These people here in this tower of celebration have made us both individually and collectively who we are today.  Today this tower stands amidst the rainbow that is a reflection of them and of us.    Let us pause for a moment to think, to remember, to honor, to claim these memories

Will you join me in the Litany for All:

A Litany for All

Today we remember those who have gone before us; saints and sinners alike

those who have touched us in some way and made us who we are today.

Lord, help us embrace resurrection.

Today we think of those who let us down; those who hurt us and left

us alone, scared and scarred.

Lord, help us as we resurrect.

Today we honor those who have inspired us; martyrs and visionaries,

leaders of our faith and practice.

May we reach to grasp the truth they sought to leave with us.

Lord, help us reach for resurrection.

Today we recall friends with whom we no longer speak

but from whom we still hear daily; those who helped untangle our lives from

what bound us.

Lord, help us receive resurrection.

Today we long for family who have gone before us; partners and children

mothers and fathers; brothers and sisters.

may we heal from their loss and become family with those still with us.

Lord, help us practice resurrection.

Move us to be resurrection.

Guide us in our resurrection dance.

Amen.
