the myth was welcome

giving a picture of hope
to believe in
even when the facts
are not quite right
providing a surprising warm

that said dolphins and swans

clear and fresh
and welcoming to
nature itself, that the
disturbance of humans
could be eased even a bit

that the natural world could
recover
but it was not to be there being
