If we break the bread
but do not plant the seeds,
If we drink the cup but do not trim the grapes,
If we pick the flowers
but do not tend to them,
If we enjoy the fruits
but do not provide the care,
our gardens will wither
our harvests will be small
our visions will fade
our horizons will narrow
we will know hunger
and our souls will thirst.
