and so the chapters have
passed and the pages turned
and we have arrived at
the next point in the story
that started with Birthing Jesus,
that cute and warm child
so well behaved and
beautiful in a simple setting
candles providing
the glow of hope and love.
Living Jesus was the next stage
with its vignettes of teaching
but it was not as warm, nor edifying
as some had hoped with his left-leaning
life view; those pages more easily
skipped over or ignored
but now we are at Dying Jesus
and there is much more interest
in the sacrifice for him to make
than the sacrificial living he
espoused.
