If we break the bread
but do not plant the seeds
If we drink the cup
but do not trim the grapes
If we pick the flowers
but do not tend the garden
If we enjoy the fruits
but do not provide the care
then
our gardens will wither and die
our harvests will be small
and
our visions will less colorful
our horizons will be shorter
our hearts will beat slower
our breathing will be more shallow
and
we will know hunger and thirst
in our souls.
